CHRIS MAHAFFEY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Chris Mahaffey grew up in the Atlanta area playing youth soccer at the highest levels. He went on to play in college at Georgia State University (NCAA Div. 1) and ended his career playing professionally both overseas and domestically. While playing professionally Chris began his coaching career that has allowed him to coach at all levels from Youth to College and Professionally.
In 2012 Chris was named as the Georgia Soccer Girls’ Coach of the year. He has coached numerous teams to State Championship titles.
While at Oglethorpe University as the Assistant Coach, Chris was instrumental in the success of the Women’s program. He helped lead the Stormy Petrel’s to the most wins in School history.
Chris began his time at HCSA in 2013 and being named the Executive Director in 2014. He has brought HCSA to new heights bringing in a wealth of knowledge, expansive training sessions, and overall club organization and development.
In 2023 Chris was named the Head Coach of professional indoor team Columbus Rapids of the NISL.
Chris is currently apart of the Elite Academy League (EA) National Talent ID Staff, and also sits on the EA Advisory Committee. Chris has been instrumental in the development of the EA Talent ID International trips, while taking the 2010 boys team to the Quarterfinals in 2023 losing Juventus from Italy in Penalty’s.
In 2012 Chris earned his USSF A license, 2011 USSF B License, and 2010 USSF C License.
